The Plan B® dosing regimen is easy to follow, consisting of only 2 tablets. The first tablet
should be taken as soon as possible within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, and the second tablet 12
hours later.
Remember, Plan B® is more effective the sooner it is taken.1 Since timing is so critical to
efficacy, it's important to keep Plan B® in stock, so it is immediately available to patients
especially within the first 24 hours after unprotected intercourse, when it is most effective.
In the event that a patient vomits within one hour of taking a Plan B® tablet, her healthcare
professional can decide if a replacement dose is needed. Advise your patients to contact their healthcare
professional if vomiting occurs.
Plan B® is contraindicated for use in women with the following conditions:
- Known or suspected pregnancy
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the product
